Brad's Story

Brad Wynn has been a resident of Iowa Park for the last 55 years, during that time he has created a beautiful family with his wife Melonie and established himself as a trustworthy and fair businessman. Anyone that knows Brad knows a couple of things about him - he is the guy that has cerebral palsy and does oil changes, and he can work circles around guys half his age.

Brad and his wife Melonie share four children and ten grandchildren and really strive to show their family what hard work and a selfless attitude can bring to the table. In addition to his hard work ethic, Brad’s faith is a driving force in his decisions and acts of service. Brad has been a faithful member of Pacific Avenue Baptist Church in Iowa Park for the last 34 years.

Brad grew up the youngest of six children and from a very early age was told that his disability would prevent him from living a normal life. While living a life with cerebral palsy has presented more than its fair share of problems and obstacles for Brad during his life, he has met each one with the same fierceness and tenacity and has been able overcome the struggles. While challenging, Brad’s disability has not deterred him from owning and operating his own business for the last 20+ years. Brad’s Quick Change in Iowa Park has been a staple in the community and was voted Iowa Park’s Business of the Year in 2009.

In addition to owning his own business, Brad has also served on the Iowa Park City Council for 8 years. During that time, he has treated that volunteer position as if it were a second full-time job. He has dedicated his life to the city and people of Iowa Park.
